Narconon Fresh Start is a drug rehab program unlike any
other available, and one which has among the highest success rates in terms of
long-term abstinence once clients complete our program. What makes Narconon
Fresh Start different is that we don’t base our treatment curriculum off of the
traditional “disease” model, as most programs do. The basis of our program at
Narconon Fresh Start is much more proactive, giving individuals an opportunity
to completely resolve their addiction issues so when they walk out our door and
return home there is no need to attend daily meetings or take part in any sort
of maintenance activities. In other words, they are completely rehabilitated
and are confident that they can remain off of drugs for good because they have
handled any and all issues which prompted them to abuse drugs in the first
place.
The other aspect of the Narconon Fresh Start program which
makes it so workable and effective is that we only provide treatment in a
residential long-term setting, so that individuals have the most ideal setting
for a full recovery. Under most circumstances, putting a hardcore addict in an
outpatient or short-term program is setting them up for failure. Even someone
with a moderate history of substance abuse may not fare well in such program if
there are circumstances in their life which could easily trigger a relapse. For
example, someone in outpatient treatment who returns home to an abusive parent
or partner every day is not going to be able to sustain their gains in
treatment and will very likely not even complete the program or relapse shortly
after. At Narconon Fresh Start however, our facilities accommodate a long-term
stay for clients, who may remain in treatment for several months. Everything is provided on-site to make them
as comfortable as possible and is off course drug free and distraction free so
that they can completely focus on their treatment process.
Rehabilitation starts with a complete detoxification,
including a standard drug and alcohol detox as well as a sauna detoxification
program offered only at Narconon Fresh Start. The sauna program which incorporates
exercise and supplements helps completely eliminate residual drugs and toxins
from an addict’s body so that they aren’t held back physically during the recovery
process or at any point in the future. The next steps of rehab at Narconon
Fresh Start focus on developing communication and confront skills, so that an
individual is better able to better handle situations, people and life
circumstances that would ordinarily trigger them to abuse drugs. It is also
very important for individuals to weed out the people in their lives which
cause them stress or provoke emotions or actions which may trigger a relapse.
This can be a very difficult step, but one which is very important to
thoroughly cover before a person leaves rehab. Accountability is also very
important, and our clients take responsibility for their substance abuse and
make amends where possible so that a true fresh start for them and their
families is possible.
