Narconon Fresh Start can be a lifesaving opportunity for
someone who hasn’t had success in other types of programs. Instead of giving
up, addicted individuals and their families can put their faith in a program

them. We don’t use the disease model at Narconon Fresh Start facilities, and
our clients fare much better during and after treatment because of it. Instead
of relinquishing control to a disease or some other unknown entity, our clients

The first step of Narconon Fresh start completely
rehabilitates the individual physically, so they are not held back during or
after treatment physically because of intense withdrawal symptoms and drug
cravings. The detox process at Narconon Fresh Start is much more in-depth than
one would experience at a traditional program, and actually includes a sauna
program which helps remove residual drugs and toxins which may still be present
even after a standard detox. Individuals typically experience a very needed
physical renewal during the sauna detoxification step, which helps them focus on
the rest of the treatment process and helps them with cravings so that they
don’t relapse. It will take as long as 3-4 weeks in some cases to complete this
extensive detoxification process unique to the Narconon Fresh Start program,
and the subsequent steps of the program will take anywhere from 2 to 6 months.
Since individuals remain in a residential Narconon Fresh Start facility during
their entire time in treatment, our program is what is referred to as a
long-term residential treatment program.
Narconon Fresh Start facilities are fully equipped and
prepared to accommodate a long-term stay, with healthy home cooked meals,
comfortable accommodations, plenty of extra-curricular activities, and a
well-trained and experienced staff which provide all of the support and
guidance needed around-the-clock for our clients. While Narconon Fresh Start
facilities are very often located in settings which allow for extra-curricular
activities including sports, swimming, hiking etc. this is not the main focus
of treatment of course and individuals will spend the vast majority of their
time every day working on their recovery process. It is recommended that
individuals who are looking into a Narconon Fresh Start program should choose a
facility that isn’t near home. While this may seem like an inconvenience, it is
actually going to provide clients with the best possible opportunity to
experience a successful rehabilitation process. In this scenario, individuals
don’t have ready access to influences which could compromise their recovery and
they won’t have access to drugs. It will also be significantly more difficult
for them to leave rehab when things get tough because home will be so far away,
and this has proven to be a key element in the success of the Narconon Fresh Start
