Narconon Fresh Start Works!

Narconon Fresh Start

Individuals who are struggling with addiction should have the very best opportunity to become fully rehabilitated once they do make it to a drug rehab program. Quality drug rehab programs are actually few and far between, and it is important for addicted individuals and their loved ones to understand which programs are going to provide the most ideal and beneficial long-term outcomes. For example, some programs are seemingly ideal because they provide specialized detox services which can help an individual get through withdrawal easier but provide no other services beyond this. These programs use medical drugs for example to help opiate addicted individuals through the grueling withdrawal process, but once detox is over these individuals still remain prone to relapse because they will still experience cravings for quite some time and will have handled only the superficial symptoms of their addiction.

Outpatient programs are also a good example a treatment option which seems ideal but in most cases isn’t going to result in the more desirable outcomes. If someone remains in the environment with the same situations, people, and influences which are very likely triggering their substance abuse, you can’t expect them to sustain their gains in an outpatient treatment program. Making gains in treatment, and then returning to such an environment on a daily basis just doesn’t make any sense. Likewise, there are short-term programs which offer treatment for 30 days or less. These programs only give an individual enough time to become stabilized physically and possibly brush the surface of issues which run far deeper and could takes weeks or even months to fully address to ensure their continues abstinence. This is why relapse rates are so high for these types of programs.
Narconon Fresh Start offers a unique approach and the most ideal circumstances so that individuals to get the very best chance at a fully recovery. We set a person up for success from the moment they walk into treatment, with the most thorough drug-free detox offered anywhere. Our detox program not only gets clients through the typical withdrawal symptoms they will experience, but goes the extra step to purify the body completely of drug and toxins with our proven sauna detoxification program. Once physically stabilized our clients can have much better focus on the bigger issues which have prompted their substance abuse, which is what they will spend the majority of their time at Narconon Fresh Start addressing.

We don’t have any outpatient or short-term facilities, and our facilities require a long-term commitment at one of our more than accommodating residential facilities so that our clients have the focus and solace needed to heal. This is what will help them remain sober and build a better life for themselves and their loved ones when they leave rehab.

Focus on Valium - Narconon Fresh Start

Valium is a popularly used prescription benzodiazepine, which is prescribed liberally for the treatment of anxiety and disorders associated with anxiety such as insomnia. Benzodiazepines such as Valium account for 20% of the total number of prescriptions written annually in the U.S., to highlight the popularity of these drugs and their use in medicine. One of the problems with Valium is that while it may produce a sense of calm and euphoria users are looking for when taking the drug, it is extremely easy to become dependent to these effects and hence dependent to Valium even after short-term use. This isn’t just a problem when individuals abuse Valium non-medically, but can also occur through legitimate use if someone has a prescription for the drug.

Many individuals are under the assumption that Valium is safe to use non-medically for recreational purposes because it is a legal medical drug used by so many people every day. When used as prescribed there is little danger, except for the fact that most users become dependent to Valium and have trouble getting off of the drug without intervention. When abused non-medically however, many users don’t use the drug as prescribed and in many cases use Valium in conjunction with other drugs or alcohol. Doing so greatly increases the risks associated with serious side effects and even overdose. The risks associated with experiencing serious side effects and overdose are particularly greater when consuming Valium in conjunction with alcohol, as both are depressants and an individual experiencing an overdose because of this may go to sleep and never wake up.

Because Valium causes dependence so quickly in both legitimate and non-medical users, individuals who use Valium will experience withdrawal syndrome if they suddenly stop taking the drug. While most drug withdrawal isn’t typically life threatening, this isn’t the case with benzodiazepines. Because seizures and other serious symptoms are common with benzodiazepine withdrawal, individuals will need to receive professional detox services when coming off of Valium abruptly once dependence has developed at a hospital, detox facility or drug rehab program who can deliver such services. In such facilities, individuals are typically weaned off Valium slowly to avoid symptoms which could be life threatening.

In instances where someone has become dependent to Valium, there are usually underlying reasons why this occurred and underlying causes for their stress and anxiety which prompted them to want to take Valium in the first place. This is why any detox services should always be followed up with a comprehensive treatment plan such as that offered at Narconon Fresh Start. At Narconon Fresh Start, we can help clients identify the stressors in their life, which could be certain situation from the past or present and even people in their lives which cause anxiety. Once identified, treatment counselors at Narconon Fresh Start can them help clients develop better coping skills to use in their lives so that they can handle stress and anxiety better, and not turn to any type of drugs as an escape or remedy.

Focus on Ativan - Narconon Fresh Start

Ativan is a prescription benzodiazepine most often prescribed to treat conditions such as anxiety and anxiety related disorders such as insomnia. As a benzodiazepine, Ativan has a depressant effect in the central nervous system which is what produces what users would claim to be a calming effect if they were experiencing stress or anxiety or the like. Because Ativan is a fast-acting drug, not only are the effects of the drug desirable but rapid so individuals can become dependent to the effects of the drug very quickly. Dependency means that someone who is taking Ativan may not want to stop taking the drug when they’re supposed to because they will find it hard to readjust to normal function in their lives without it. They have become dependent to the calming effects and rely on Ativan to be at ease and to relieve stress, rather than take normal measures in their lives to make this possible. This is a well-known outcome, which is why the FDA recommends that benzodiazepines such as Ativan only be used for a very short time period, and for no longer than a month at the most.

The problem is when someone can’t stop taking Ativan, even when they know they should. This might happen with a legitimate user or even with someone who abuses prescription drugs non-medically. The prescription drug abuse problem, in either regard, has reached epidemic proportions and drug rehab programs across the country are now accustomed to addressing such issues with clients. Whereas illicit drug abuse used to be the main problem people were checking into rehab for over a decade ago, individuals are now finding their way to rehab more often than not for problems regarding prescription drug abuse including problems with misuse and abuse of Ativan.

Because long-term use, even legitimate use, of Ativan can cause so many significant consequences in the person’s life it is important that anyone having trouble stopping use seeks help right away in a drug rehab program. If someone is having trouble getting Ativan this isn’t something they should even try to do on their own, because there are also risks involved with benzodiazepine withdrawal which could include seizures and other symptoms which could be life threatening. In a detox facility or drug rehab program, individuals will very likely be weaned off of Ativan and safely detoxed. At Narconon Fresh Start, we have among the most experienced detox professionals who are prepared to help individuals get off of Ativan and possibly other drugs as needed smoothly and safely.

After an individual has safely stopped taking Ativan, it is important that they find other ways to cope with stress and anxiety so that they don’t end up right back in the same situation. No one needs to be dependent on any type of drug for their happiness or for stress relief, and at Narconon Fresh Start counselors help clients develop new ways of dealing with stress and everyday life to prevent this from happening in the future.

Why Narconon Fresh Start?

Narconon Fresh Start is a unique opportunity for anyone with any type of addiction, no matter how severe it may be. Sometimes, family member and friends and even the addicted individuals themselves can lose hope that there is anything that can be done about their addiction. Before reaching Narconon Fresh Start this may have been the case, particularly if the individual has tried different types of rehab programs in the past to no avail. As these failures pile up which will have surely ended in a devastating relapse, individuals begin to believe that they just can’t be helped and so fall deeper and deeper into their addiction. Before it is too late, addicted individuals and their loved ones must know that at Narconon Fresh Start we know what they’re going through and know how they feel if they have experienced these past failures. However, we know that there is a light at the end of the tunnel and we would like the opportunity to give them the opportunity to take part in a rehab program that will actually work this time.

One of the primary reasons Narconon Fresh Start is so workable is because of how our program is set up. We know what it takes to completely resolve any type of addiction, so we won’t settle for anything less than a long-term commitment from our clients who should expect to remain in treatment for at least 90 days but longer in most cases. We also insist that our clients remain in one of our residential facilities during this time, which will very likely be as far away from home as possible. This is a key aspect of treatment which can make or break someone’s recovery process, and it is important to make this sacrifice if our clients want to realize success in our program. Remaining home while in treatment simply doesn’t work, as outpatient programs show us every day. It doesn’t make sense to be in treatment while returning home to individuals, issues, and circumstances which are very likely triggering one’s substance abuse. And it shouldn’t be easy to give up, and walk out the door whenever a client runs into a rough patch. So our program is set up so that clients can persist through these rough spots instead of taking the easy way out and reap the rewards of this hard work and dedication.

Rehabilitation at Narconon Fresh Start begins with a detoxification process which goes far beyond any other standard detox, and includes a sauna program to cleanse residual drugs and toxins from the body which would normally be leftover otherwise. Once our clients benefit physically from the sauna detoxification program at Narconon Fresh Start which can take a few weeks, the majority of their time is spent honing in on the key issues in their lives which trigger their substance abuse. This could be a person, stress, a failure, or a combination of many things. All of these things are revealed and resolved at the client’s own pace with tools and treatment methods only available at Narconon Fresh Start, so that when they leave rehab they can feel confident that a drug-free life is 100% possible.

Narconon Fresh Start's Unique Approach to Drug Rehab

Narconon Fresh Start is a program unlike any other available, and its unique approach has been providing among the highest success rates in the field of drug rehabilitation for decades now. Unlike most of the traditional programs available which treat addiction as a disease, Narconon Fresh Start offers a much more proactive approach and a definitive end to the rehabilitation process because our clients are in essence “cured” when they graduate our program. So while other programs encourage a continual rehabilitation process with the individual being in “recovery” for the rest of their lives, our clients are free of this burden and when they leave rehab are confident about their abstinence.

How do we do this? The first step of that any clients takes in a Narconon Fresh Start rehab facility is a step which allows them to completely eliminate their bodies of residual drugs and toxins which may adversely affect them while in rehab and in the future. The initial stages of this step will of course include a standard detox while the individual experiences withdrawal symptoms, which our detox specialists will expertly and safely navigate them through. But at Narconon Fresh Start, a physical fresh start is made possible through additional measures to ensure drugs and toxins which tend to be stored in fatty and muscle tissues are also eliminated so they don’t reemerge later, possibly even after the individual leaves rehab. This could cause a drug flashback or perhaps even a relapse in the worst cases.

Our sauna detoxification step includes a regiment of sweating, exercise and supplements to purge these residual drugs and toxins so that our clients can start their new drug free life with a completely clean slate. The beauty of the initial detoxification step at Narconon Fresh Start is that it also makes it possible for our clients to have much more clarity during the next phase of treatment, without being mentally or physically clouded because of drugs which might still remain in their system otherwise. This is crucially important during treatment, because individuals will have to make many tough decisions and lifestyle changes and it is going to be much easier to make these decisions when one can see clearly what they are.

After detox, Narconon Fresh Start clients will spend many weeks and possibly months in one of our facilities addressing the underlying causes of their addiction and becoming equipped with life tools which will help them live a drug free life. Our clients are taken through a step by step process which will elevate their ability to communicate and confront people and things in life which may have caused them stress in the past. An important aspect of the program for our clients is a thorough inventory of all of the people in their lives, and they are encouraged to weed out the people who contribute to, encourage, or prompt their substance abuse. It is also very important that they approach their new found sobriety from a point of full accountability, and are encouraged to take full responsibility for their actions and choices while using drugs and to make amends where possible.
